I just returned from a dinner cruise around Manhattan on the Princess ship with World Yacht on a lovely June evening.  Boarding time was 6 pm.  Wow, it was great!

We were served a glass of champagne upon boarding.  Music was being piped onto all 3 decks.  Delicious hors d'oeuvres and more drinks were coming around.  The guests had one hour to board before sailing.

We sailed from W 41 St down the Hudson River toward Battery Park, Staten Island Ferries around South Street Seaport, made a turn going up the East River passing the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge & Williamsburg Bridge, headed to the Statue of Liberty (up close) and back to W 41 St. on the West Side.  The New York skyscraper was breathtaking.  As the sun set and the sky became dark with buildings lighting up, the view was magnificent!

All the while, we were seated and being served delicious crabmeat appetizers, tender filet mignon entrée and a warm chocolate soufflé for dessert.  The DJ was playing the whole time with dancing on the dance floor.   And as we approached the Statue of Liberty, the DJ played songs with “New York” themes and “God Bless America” songs.  It was very well done and we had an amazing time.
