Celebrity to Upgrade Older Millennium Ships

Celebrity Cruises plans to upgrade its four Millennium class ships. With the new “Designed for You” program, it is expected that they will be investing $200 million.

Features from the Solstice class will be added: Tuscan Grille, the Napa Valley-meets-Italian-steakhouse, Bistro on Five, a creperie introduced on Solstice and Equinox, and an ice-topped Martini Bar paired with Crush, whose ice-filled table presents chilled, top-tier vodkas. The Millennium ships also will get the Café al Bacio and Gelateria, replacing the former Cova Café, and an Enomatic wine bar, the Italian designed wine serving system that allows guests to select, at the touch of a button, the wines of their choice by the glass.

Celebrity Constellation will be the first to receive the new enhancements in April 2010.
