Norwegian Jewel, 7n roundtrip Alaska 7/21/12Hey Sally,
Alaska was very good! We loved it and it was very beautiful! Yes we saw humpback whales, eagles, seals, a lot of glaciers. Everything was very good and we received everything.
Thank you.

Hi Sally
Yes I did get the birthday cake. Thank you very much. We were able to eat dinner together every night. My grandson had a great time when he did not want to go at first.. He was out until 2 or 3 every night and made a lot of friends. My son Donald his family and Debbie played trivia and won quite a few times. They also liked karaoke. The food was pretty good.
My daughter went back to Portland Oregon this afternoon, but we will be seeing her in Atlanta GA in about a month.
We will be going to a wedding this Saturday in Long Island, after that will drive up to Schroon Lake, New York for two weeks with our niece from Florida. If there is good deal, keep our group in mind.
Thanks,

Hi Sally,
We had a great time on the cruise. Everything went smoothly, including the onboard credit. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The rooms were comfortable, although a bit noisy (an intermittent mechanical noise). The free-style dining took a bit getting used to, and personally I think I prefer the old-style dinner, but it was basically ok. We couldn't get a seat the first night and ate at the buffet. After that, we figured it out and ate in either the Grand Pacific or Magenta dining rooms, both of which were fantastic.
The gym was very good. The pool deck was fun, although a bit hectic. I liked that the promenade deck entirely circled the ship. On Friday, at sea, we were walking there and saw about 30 dolphins swimming near the boat, which was really cool. Re shore excursions, we just took the shuttle to Coco Beach and swam there, which was super. Great Stirrup Cay was a bit overdone, I thought, but Katherine and Donna enjoyed it. In fact, after Brian and I went back to the ship, they stayed around and saw sting rays up close while wading into the water. Katherine and I went snorkeling at Nassau which was ok, but not nearly as good as the snorkeling at the Grand Caymans.
All in all, we had an enjoyable and relaxing week. Thanks for everything.
By the way, a friend of mine (with wife and 5 year old daughter) expressed some interest in taking the trip towards mid to late August. I gave him your name.
Best,

Hi Sally!
We just got back to Toronto yesterday evening so my apologies for the delayed response. Honestly, I could write pages about how amazing the service was on the cruise. Everything went very smoothly, the food was great and the people were very courteous. We definitely found a few excursions to go on and saw moose/dall sheep in Denali, even whales but we'd only be able to see small parts of them. My grandparents also found the whole trip to be very well organized and executed.
As I said, I could write pages about it and will be sure to fill out the survey by this weekend. I guess the only slight disappointment was not receiving anything for my graduation as you'd mentioned. Although our room steward did know about it, so I was slightly confused about that. As well, they'd sent us a note for my grandfather's birthday, which we gave to someone in the dining hall as instructed, but nothing happened!
Regardless, those were minor things in comparison to the rest. Everyone, especially the maitre’d was very accommodating. I left with pictures of our waitress and head waiters! :)
Oh, the balcony was amazing, we would not have enjoyed as much as we did without it.
Thanks a lot for putting it all together!

Hi Sally,
Thanks so much for the wine. It was put to good use. I meant to send you a note but didn’t get home till 11 last night and had to work today.
The scenery was terrific, and the weather was unbelievable. Never rained on us and was seasonably warm. We were able to see Mt McKinley completely, when most of the time the top is obscured by clouds. Glacier Bay was amazing. We saw Moose, whales, and plenty of bald eagles. Everything is so pristine and well preserved. It was definitely better to do the cruise part at the end, as the land tour was hectic, with having to leave luggage outside room at 6 AM and going to a different lodge each night. The only glitch was yesterday, when our flight from Vancouver to Montreal was half an hour late, leaving us 30 minutes till flight to Boston. The distance to go from the Canadian flights side to the US flights at that airport must be like 2 miles, and what with clearing customs, we got to the gate at exactly 8 PM which is scheduled time of flight. Luckily they held the flight to get luggage transferred but it was close. Good to know if I ever go through Montreal again.
Princess Cruises was great.
Thanks again,

Hi Sally, The trip was great and smooth sailing from beginning to the end. The ship, rooms, service and food were top notch. I hope that your trip to New Zealand was just as enjoyable as ours.
The only thing I found a bit disappointing were the birthday celebrations. There were 4 birthdays and instead of receiving a full cake, they received a piece of sliced cake (cake that was from the dessert menu) with a candle in it. The others did not get any. The head waiter came over and shook their hands while we sang happy birthday. It was a little lacking in comparison to other cruise lines.
However, as a whole, we all agreed that this cruise and your service were excellent.
Thanks again.

Hey Sally, thanks for the note, finally catching up on my mail.
The cruise was very nice and relaxing. We did a lot of reading and relaxing, and enjoyed the food and ambiance. I did go diving in Aruba, which was good but not as good as St. Kitts or Grand Turk. The wrecks on Aruba are interesting, but I prefer the coral and different fishes.
One thing we did discover was how nice the international cafe was on the ship for late night snacks, especially after the shows. The entertainment was excellent as well, good production shows with excellent talent, and a nice comedian as well as an impressionist/comedian.
Overall we had a very very nice time.
Thank you especially for the wine, we enjoyed it for several nights.
I am sure we will be talking again soon. Dianne and I are already thinking about our next cruise... Keep a close eye on Princess's cruises out of San Francisco to Alaska or Hawaii. That would let us see our son and have a nice cruise if there is a really good deal.
Excellent booking and lovely cruise.
Thanks for all your help.

Hi Sally,
This was the best cruise we’ve ever been on! The ship is great and extremely well designed. We never had to wait for anything. The food was superb. We ate at the Tuscan Grille and it was great. The charge for the specialty restaurant was a bit high ($30 to 40 per person) but other than that it was great. The brunch was also exceptional.

Dear Sally,
Thank you for everything. Yes we did receive your thoughtful goodies. The cruise was excellent. The ship was full so no chance of any upgrade and we did not need it either, 3 in minisuite was quite good, although we did look at their best one.(maybe next time). Will talk to you later. Take care.

Thanks, great weather, cruise, your kind goodies, service etc. Excursions were little hyped, not worth their cost. The experience was great. Got home this morning and after a day’s work, tired. Mummy enjoyed it and we added the celebration of her 80th year in this world! Graduates were happy, group jelled very well with few dinners in Summer Palace bringing us together. Everyone has reached their respective destinations, safe, sound and thrilled.
You did all that was possible to make it a memorable family vacation and celebrations.

Hi Sally,
Thanks very much for the follow up. The hotel was terrific! (very clean). The location was fine. (In fact, it was far more convenient then many of the hotels that Schwab had reserved). The rooms were exactly as you had described, and frankly perfect for the business traveller. To be sure, the extra expense would NOT have been worth it. My days were so full that there would not have been sufficient time to appreciate the more "resort" type hotels.
Thanks again for your help on this. I look forward to reaching out to you in the future for help with business and personal travel plans. (and will enthusiastically refer your services).

Sally,
It was nice speaking with you. We all had a wonderful time!
I forgot to mention to you that I won a raffle, a costume jewelry bracelet from Sarah Jessica Parker, COVET line (I like it, it’s different), cologne from Juicy Couture, and a bottle of champagne in a gift bag. There was only 1 winner. There was quite a few free raffles going on, winner must be present.
Also, my husband and Tony attended a cooking class and Tom (my husband) was helping the chefs. My cousin and I used the balcony. You can sit out and get a sun tan. The rest of my family didn’t really use it.
I will send you the link for my videos so you can view before your cruise. Thanks again for your help.

Good morning Sally,
Thanks Sally, great job! Yes we had a wonderful time on the cruise spending time with friends and families. Our family even reserved two cabins for future cruise, am thinking about cruising to either Europe or Alaska with a couple of my friends (not part of this group) within the next 2 years. We will get in touch with you when we are planning another trip.
We all attended the cocktail party the last evening, everyone had a good time. I thought it would have been even nicer had the cocktail party was on Monday, that way some of the kids can get to know each other earlier...in any event we all have FUN :o)
Oh yeah, we spent the shipboard credit on 2 paintings, one of them is a Peter Max (a small one), love it. Thanks again for job well done.

Viking River Cruise & land trip from Beijing to Shanghai 6/15/10
Thank you for the chocolates. It was an unexpected, wonderful surprise. Yes, we had a wonderful time -had virtually no jet lag in China. But when we got home we experienced a long adjustment. I have a shift at the Red Cross on Mondays and last night, almost a week after we got back, I was nodding off. So, I really haven't poked my head out much and that is why I haven't written you.
It WAS a trip of a lifetime. It would take a day to describe all the wonderful experiences. I have only two negative comments. The food wasn't as good as I expected. The Chinese food we had was westernized. Not that I want to eat live squid. They seemed to cater to our customized tastes. I was expecting some different spices so I had very little that I hadn't had before. I loved the hotel breakfast buffets. Had aloe compote for the first time. And I loved the congee that I could add all kinds of new condiments to. My other comment deals with the crowds. I was severely disappointed in the World Expo.
Viking gave virtually no support, except to drop us off. And to tell us to get advance reservations when we entered to avoid the 4-6 hour queues for the popular pavilions. They failed to tell us that the tickets go fast and by 9:30 when we arrived they were all gone. I saw an escorted german travel group that got VIP scheduling--they slipped them in the back door to avoid the queue. For $599 a day, I think Viking could have given us more support. We just went the first day--the full, long day until the bus picked us up. But it was another slice of Chinese life. Saw very little visitors. The government is talking up the Expo to the Chinese people. We had a blast the second day. We preferred to spend the day by ourselves, although Viking so thoughtfully kept the group together from beginning to end. That way it was like a little family. So, the second day we used the subway to get around. And we really enjoyed observing the Chinese people. Not just the ones at the tourist attractions. Also, the local guide they assigned to us (in dropping us off and picking us up) was not very informative. I asked her about going to a local market and she told me that the Chinese go to the little stores near the hotel. But in our travels the second day, when we dropped the Expo, we came upon a wonderful market. She could have told us about it.
We met many world travelers and we enjoyed hearing about their experiences. And we met people who have gone on multiple Viking cruises. I think Viking was the way to go for a trip to China, but I can't see using them again, except maybe for Egypt. It is very efficient way to see the maximum number of sites. But I did resent all the money making opportunities for them (glass painting workshop combined with the Houtong visit; the silk carpet workshop, the embroidery factory and others I can't remember just now). These visits were combined with a so so lunch sometimes provided by the facility. Probably members of the group are looking for shopping opportunities, and these stops provide that. And Viking gets a big cut on the cost of the lunch. But I'd much rather be let loose in a local market. I understand that our choices are limited in China. And maybe this was the choice that was available to Viking.
Loved the hotels and food at them. Viking ship food met my expectations but certainly did not exceed them. I had no stomach problems until my first meal on the ship. Bill was the same.
Viking changed their policy to unlimited water, soft drinks and wine at dinner. And they provided unlimited water. So, we didn't have any beverage charges. That was a nice treat.
We were impressed that the ship staff would remember our names. And when Bill was out of commission for 2 days because of stomach problems, they asked about him.
Loved our escort. His English was so good that he sounded like an American. You had to really pay attention to pick up any differences. I liked this because he was so easy to understand. We didn't have to strain to follow him.
If you are going to do an escorted trip, I think Viking would probably be one of the best. My comments probably relate to any tour of its kind. And our travel style is probably towards the independent side.
Thank you for recommending Viking and for giving us so much valuable support.
Bill has his next knee replacement probably this summer. So, we're not looking to travel again for awhile. I'm interested in the silk road. And we're talking about Turkey. I would not want to do a tour though. Maybe next spring.
Thanks again.

Dear Sally.
We are back and I’m already promoting & recommending a cruise. I really want to be the Ambassador of cruises and tell my stressed colleagues about the cruise and have also copied them your business card.
You did something very Special...You took care of us while I was taking care of my hectic work schedule and ensured that we were registered and kept in touch right up to the point when we boarded the ship..... Now I understand the importance of a Cruise Planner....it goes with NCL motto of S.T.Y.L.E.

Hi Sally,
Glad to hear from you. My family including my father-in-law has enjoyed the cruise very much. Compared to the cruise experience, Disney World looked less interesting than before :). The services on the cruise were great. Everybody on the ship were doing their best to help the passengers. The food was great - no need to say much about that. Kids loved the kids program (called kids corner) and wanted to stay there whenever it was open. I had a chance to try the snorkeling for the first time and enjoyed it immediately. There were a lots of elders on the ship, which had a positive impact to my father-in-law by making him more open.
One minor issue, when the crew members on the ship helped us move our luggages to the ground on the last day, they apparently broke a handle on one of my carry-on luggages. Not sure if they will pay for that. Probably $50. If you have their customer services number, I can give them a call.
Anyway, the vacation was very enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you very much for your help. It wouldn't happen without your help. We are definitely thinking about taking more cruises in the future and will invite our friends to join us.

Hi Sally
Thank you so much for your help! We had a wonderful time! Joanne and Moe seemed especially to enjoy the trip :). We got lots of sun and had a chance to walk a bit at each port with Joanne in wheelchair and Moe in his stroller (or giving Carol a workout in her arms!). It worked out well considering.
Ate way too much. Dessert every night! Next time I need a cruise where I don't like any of the food haha! Rick probably doesn't want me around right now because I made him snack too much haha :)
We didn't try bungee but did try the rock climbing. Carol successfully rang the bell at the top :). I got too scared of the height half way up. Arlene made it half way too.
The sun was intense. Carol and Rick came back with killer tans. Moe and I look sunkissed :). Moe's got Rick's coloring so his melatonin kicks in at the thought of sun!
As soon as I can get pix organized I will send you. Mostly Moe. He is so cute and funny! He loves the camera. Hollywood here he comes!
Ready for the next cruise when Moe is :) He will be able to stay in my room next time :) BTW the interior cabin was perfect for rest...quiet dark cozy...wonderful!
Thank you for your help! :)

Hi Sally,
Just got back early this morning. Alaska was amazing. Lots of pictures. I'll send them along when I get through them all. The trip was awesome. Thanks for booking it for us. Princess was awesome, and made everything very easy. We had a great time. Rained a lot, but it didn't matter to us. Alaska rain is better than New York rain any time!
The glacier calving was awesome too. A crack that sounds like thunder, and then a piece of the glacier falls off into the water. A spectacular sight and a sound you'll never forget. I'm actually watching the video I took as I type. We didn't get to go dog sledding (which I was really looking forward to and actually rebooked it 3 times but each time it got cancelled because of the weather).
We met Jeff King, the 4 time Iditarod Champion! We went to his house, and met him and his puppies, and he gave us a tour of his kennel as well as an overview of what it is like to run in the Iditarod. It was really great...especially because I love dogs.
The train ride was nice, it was more comfortable than I expected. Very well run. Princess really did a very good job of coordinating the luggage and everything. It was cloudy out (9 of the 11 days was cloudy) but it was still beautiful. We got to see a rainbow at the end of the train ride which was a nice ending to a wonderful trip. I'll include that in the pictures as well. I'm hoping to get through all of them by the end of the weekend.
We saw lots of eagles, and some seals, a few caribou, and we saw a moose on the way to the airport. It was just eating on the side of the road. It was HUGE, and not to mention, not very pretty. lol No bears though, we were hoping to see bears.
Tons of shopping! I never knew Alaska was known for its shopping. We stuffed everything into the luggage (just made the 50lbs limit by .2lbs!) and had very heavy carry-ons. But yes, next time I do go (I plan on going back in a few years, so prepare yourself!) I'm going to have to bring a larger carry-on.

Sally, you were great. We had a large group of five families (10 adults and 11 children) -- with several first-time cruisers in the group -- and you made the whole booking process so effortless for us all. In particular, you did an amazing job getting us perfect cabin locations so parents could be close to their children and the group in general could be near one another. We also appreciated your efforts in working with Carnival to get our three tables right next to each other for dinners. I'll definitely recommend you to my friends who are planning cruise vacations.

Hi Sally,
The Galapagos Island was AWESOME!
We had a great time. Celebrity Xpedition was so well organized, all we had to do was select what we wanted to do and go relax, eat, drink and be merry. The place is so peaceful and beautiful but the animals were simply incredible.
Food was quite good and surprise was the quality of the liquor. We all had a great time and highly recommend Celebrity. We went at a good time in terms of weather, water temp, calmness of seas, animals present. Best, best time might be late April to mid May per the naturalists. Thanks for arranging/identifying such a wonderful tour.
We'll send you a FEW pictures when we finish uploading.

Celebrity Xpedition, 10n Galapagos Island Cruisetour 4/17/08
Hi Sally,
I concur with all the previous sentiments. The trip was really a blast! Celebrity was extremely well organized. The schedule was a good balance of activity and rest. They had the passengers needs all taken care of. Everything was all inclusive...and that meant everything including drinks and food on land. The ship quarters were sizeable and the public areas were nicely laid out. Everything was well maintained. The staff went above and beyond. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Stacey and I even got to practice our Spanish with a very patient crew :-) The Galapagos were beautiful. Everyday you could see something new and learn fun facts. There was no shortage of exotic wildlife to take pictures of. I also think April/ May are the best months. Not only for wildlife, but also the best months for seasickness, as the water is the calmest.
It was a once in a lifetime experience! Thanks again for helping us

Sally,
I have been meaning to write to thank you for the excellent quality of service you provided us (our family in particular - especially with all the attempts to accommodate my mother-in-law's needs - including the information related to expediting the process of her passport) in booking our Carnival cruise for the convention. You were fantastic with organizing so many reservations and keeping our whole group on track!
Thanks very much and looking forward to working with you again soon!

Hi Sally:
Just wanted to Thank You so much for all your work putting our Cruise together for New Year’s. We had a great time. Had a bad day in Cozmel & could not go Snorkeling – very rough seas & winds – everything was canceled but still had a fun day. Thank you again,

Hello Sally,
I commend your ability serving as a Cruise Planner. You have very well managed almost 400 members of our Community at Carnival Sensation Cruise during the first week of Jan 2008. You were there to serve 24/7, without any hesitations, giving appropriate information on time, the necessary requirements; how, when and where.
I really thank you. There are no words to express your energy level, efforts & enthusiasm.

Hi Sally,
Thanks a lot for your help. I can't believe that you still pursued this issue (shipboard credit) even after you got back - that is great and I will remember this more than the $50 :). I will let you know when it shows up in my account.

Hello Sally,
I just wanted to let you know that you are doing a terrific job. You have been very helpful in providing all the necessary information to the attendees. Moreover, sometimes some attendees demand too much attention. You have been dealing with the attendee dynamics very well. I am sure the whole MMNA team appreciates it as much as I do or perhaps more.
Best regards,

Hi Sally,
Thank you so much for booking the cruise for Joey and me. We had an absolute blast. The weather was great, the timing was great, the price was right on. :) Also thanks for the wine, we brought it to the performance on the last night to enjoy. Moreover, thank you for signing me up as an Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor member on the last cruise. Thanks to that, we were invited to an 'exclusive event' for loyal members where there was some wining and dining for a select few.
We'll be sure to come to you again for any future cruises. Thanks again.

We just got home late last night. We were going to e-mail you right away and thank you so much for how personable you have been. But we should have known you would be thoughtful enough to beat us to it. Yes we got a beautiful Bon Voyage cake. The people that we sat with in the formal dining room were so impressed. Two different couples wanted to know who our travel agent was. Of course we were happy to give them your name and tell them that we've booked two cruises with you and have really been satisfied.
We had a wonderful cruise.....our room was in such a good location. Thanks so much for going far beyond what was expected.

Dear Sally,
Our cruise was wonderful, and you were quite a hit. We had the best price of all our table mates, and to know the cost of our cruise went down, and you refunded our money pleased everyone. I will be sharing your info with the others, as we are all sharing emails.
My daughter and I are still looking into a later June/ early July cruise. Thank You for being such a great agent, and I loved the chocolate covered cherries.

Hi Sally,
Well, a big 'thank you' to you for setting up the entire cruise! We did not encounter any difficulty along the way and had a wonderful time. It was quite an experience seeing the five islands (St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, & Antigua). We went ashore and did the tours.
On board the ship was, without any complaint as they thought of almost everything to make it a great experience. The cruise director, Lenny, was fantastic and made it a fun cruise even though we had our 'formal' moments.
Again, thank you.

Sally!!!!
The cruise was great. Thank you so much. The cake was wonderful. The wine was so thoughtful. The vouchers and coupons came in handy. The ship was really fun. We all had a great time. We are definitely cruise people.
Weather was really good. Snorkeling was ok in Jamaica, but unbelievable in Grand Caymans. We loved the ship, and seeing the ocean every day. Our rooms were very comfortable. Everyone on the ship worked very hard. We could've stayed longer, and we were all a bit sad to have to leave!
I think we'd like to go on another cruise, maybe this time next year. We'll consider the info you sent us. Thanks again for helping us have one of the best vacations we have ever been on.

Sally,
Your thoughtfulness is prodigious! The real "cake" was the Cruise and the "icing" was the very special family time we enjoyed. A special thanks to you, both this time and next.

Hi Sally...
Merry Christmas! We are home. The cruise was absolutely fabulous. You are the BEST!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everything was good...the champagne breakfast on the balcony was really fun. Thanks again.
The shore excursions were wonderful. The best one was the Atlantis submarine dive....what a cool experience. I would do that again in a heartbeat.
We loved the mini suite...and we are probably spoiled for life now. Your recommendation for mid ship was perfect. We felt very little motion. The only thing I would change would be to have a covered balcony. Not a big deal...but since the mini suite balconies are out further...everyone above could look down on you.
Sally....it was a great trip. We truly appreciate all of your hard work to make it perfect for us. You are now stuck with us.....I will not ever go shopping for anyone else to plan a cruise! Take care. Talk to you soon. I hope you have had a very happy and blessed Christmas.

We all had a good time. The cruise portion was better than expected. Turkey was the best part of the trip. I will plan on a trip next year with the kids - perhaps to Denmark, Sweden or on a barge down the Seine to Southern France. Thanks again

Dear Sally: We wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely fabulous time on our trip. The Jewel was just beautiful, and the suite was incredible, especially the service and other "perks" associated with being in the suite. We had a separate place for breakfast and lunch, and all of our needs were catered to. We felt extremely pampered. The problem is I don't know how we will ever be able to go back to not being in a suite and having all that pampering.
The excursion in Rome worked out just great. The driver was knowledgeable and there was no traffic at all. He took us to all the major sites, and knew things like when to go so as to avoid the lines--he knew, for example, that the Vatican museum had a 2 hour wait in the morning but was empty in the afternoon, so we went there in the afternoon and walked right in with no trouble. It was great being on our own without a large group. Thanks so much.

Sally,
We just got back. We had a great time and everybody loved it. The dining arrangements were terrific and on Fri, while the adults ate at the Chops Grill, the dining staff took care of the kids in the main dining room. The food at the Chops was ok, they said that they had never before had such a big group. Other than that, the service was great. Thanks for the Specialty Restaurant.
The grand suites were a little bigger than the Adventures of the Seas. Also the balcony was a lot bigger too.
The families who never sailed before had a really positive experience. They all indicated that they would be interested in doing this again next year. Maybe with all the positive feedback, more families will want to join in. Thanks again.

Hi Sally.
The cruise was good. I especially enjoyed my balcony, so glad that waitlist came through. The beaches were beautiful. Did a lot of reading, ate some really good food, and slept in every day, what could be better? Once again, I appreciate all your help and will certainly recommend you to family and friends.

Hey Sally,
Alaska was very good! We loved it and it was very beautiful! Yes we saw humpback whales, eagles, seals, a lot of glaciers. Everything was very good and we received everything.
Thank you.
